The Fashion Crown

Today we need to say a sadly goodbye, to the fashion Dominican-American Designer Oscar de la Renta. He passed away last night at the age of 82. He was fighting during eight years against cancer. The last memory we have from him is the wedding dress of Amal Alamuddin, George Clooney’s wife. Last week has already confirmed the new creative director: Peter Copping, who had worked for five years in Nina Ricci.

I sorry I haven’t written in the blog since one month, It was because I started the school and I didn’t have some much time. Now I finished the first exams that I have had and I’m already organized for make my goal about the blog: post more frequently.

I want to dedicate this post to my favorite movie: The devil wears Prada. In my opinion this film is the best film that I’ve ever seen about fashion. It’s inspired in real facts. Meryl Streep disguises Anna Wintour (Director of Vogue USA and one of the most inspiration for a lot of people). Anne Hathaway acts as If she is the writer and journalist Lauren Weisberger.

I remember when I saw the film; I absolutely fell in love with everything and everyone. I’ve always liked writing and fashion, they means a lot to me. But ever since I saw the movie they got together and they make me realize what my real passion is: Writing about fashion.  

I recommend this movie to everyone who loves fashion as me.
